Chargers athletes pick up PACWEST honours

The Pacific Western Athletic Association (PACWEST) named the week three Athlete of the Week Awards, and two 茄子污污视频 Chargers picked up the honours.

The Pacific Western Athletic Association (PACWEST) named the week three Athlete of the Week Awards, and two 茄子污污视频 Chargers picked up the honours.

Chargers women鈥檚 basketball forward, Sadie McMillan-Stowards (Oak Bay High), was instrumental in two PACWEST wins this past weekend over the Okanagan Coyotes and Langara Falcons. She scored 22 points, adding 21 rebounds, while shooting 66 per cent from behind the three-point arch and 75 per cent from the free throw line. On the defensive side she added four steals.

The Chargers men鈥檚 volleyball team was led by their fifth-year Brazilian right side Vitor Pereira. On Friday, Pereira scored seven kills, two aces and a block in a tightly contested match. On Saturday, he was in end-of-season form and once again led the team with 17 kills, three aces, and four blocks. His 19 service attempts led to much needed points for the Chargers as they rallied from a 0-2 deficit to win in five.听

Since joining the Canadian Collegiate Athletics Association (CCAA) and Pacific West Athletic Association (PACWEST) conferences in 1994, the Chargers have competed in over 100 national and provincial championships with over 50 medal winning finishes.
