Wednesday, Feb. 5, 6:30 a.m. — Ƶ’s campuses are OPEN today. Classes and services are scheduled to run as planned.

Grounds crew have been working at Lansdowne and Interurban to spread salt and sand on parking lots, roadways and main walkways as conditions are icy. Please allow extra time when commuting, dress warmly and stay on cleared paths.

Award description

This gift recognizes an immigrant or refugee who has been working hard to learn English in any ELD course at Ƶ College. 

This award is in memory of Naji Yazdi's parents, Mr. Rasoul Khodashenas Firouzabadi and Mrs. Aalamtaj Ahmadi, Founders of Dawn of Prosperity (صبح سعادت) Cultural and Educational Institution in 1969 at Tehran-Iran. "Goal, Perseverance and Success" was the motto of Dawn of Prosperity which inspired thousands of students to thrive, succeed and flourish.

Criteria

Student must:

  • have been enrolled in an Access program (Area of Study - select Upgrading & Preparatory) or an  (Academic Level - select Upgrading & Preparatory) for at least one semester during May 1–April 30.
  • submit an essay explaining their challenges in learning English, and how they have overcome those challenges.
