Enrolment in Child Care Servicesis a multi-step process including a waitlist application, parent meeting and orientation.
Waitlist
Our spaces are always full and applications to our waitlist are received daily. On an annual basis, we receive between 200-250 applicants. Once you apply, we confirm your addition to the waitlist via email providing you with an outline of our process for filling available spaces and your child's waitlist number. We contact families when a space becomes available. Additionally, it is your responsibility to notify us of any change in personal information and the requested date of enrolment so that your waitlist application is always current.
Eligibility
While Ƶ students (with a 50% course load) are our first priority, we welcome children of staff, faculty and the Ƶ. A child may be added to the list once their birth date is known.
Length of Waitlist
At any given time, it is difficult to know the length of the waitlist because of the changing needs of applicants who are not providing our office with an update.
Offer of a Space
Families are offered a space, in the appropriate age group, according to the prioritization listed below and their date of application to the waitlist. A child remains on the waitlist until the enrolling parent withdraws their name, or can no longer be reached, or the requested start date passes.
Waitlist Prioritization
- Internal Transfers
Children already enrolled who are ready (age and development) to graduate to the next centre. - Siblings

Please note:In addition, the conditions of each centre, current demographics, and/or current operational focus may also be factors considered when space filling. As this is a complex process, it's your responsibility to notify us of any change in personal information and requested date of enrolment so that your waitlist application is always current. Parent Meeting
When a family is offered a space and is interested in accepting the space, they will be invited to attend a meeting with the Manager. This meeting provides the parent(s) with an overview of the services, key policies, and the opportunity to ask any questions. Families accepting the space will be required to sign the Child Care Agreement, pay the Enrolment Deposit, and provide pre-authorized monthly payments for the operational year. *Once the CCS Agreement is signed, the Withdrawal Notice is in effect.*
Orientation & Gradual Entry
An orientation tour will be arranged for the child and parent prior to their start date. Gradual entry for the first 5 days of care will be arranged at this time to ensure a successful start for child and parent.

Our centres are popular places and we strongly recommend that you put your child on the waitlist as soon as you know you need care.
